Position summary: Senior Software Engineer (Ruby)

Working hours: 8 AM to 5 PM CST i.e., 6:30 PM- 3:30 AM IST

As a Ruby developer, you'll design/implement software solutions based on customer needs and requirements. Our software engineers work together to build and support our web-based software applications and they play an active role in the evolution of the product. Role & Responsibilities –

• Lead the creation, development, and implementation of critical system design changes, enhancements, and software projects.
• Ensure timely execution of project deliverables.
• Work with other engineers to ensure the system and product is consistent and aligned through all processes.
• Improve product quality, performance, and security through substantial process improvements.
• Follow development standards and promote best practices.
• Perform code review sessions & suggest improvements or alternatives when appropriate.

Requirements & Qualifications-

• Bachelor's degree in computer science
• Proficient in Ruby, GoLang, Rails.
• Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL, SQL server
• 5+ years of experience working on enterprise web application development.
• Experience with Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux, Mongo DB and Redis
• Experience with Javascript Library (JQuery/Sencah Touch/Titanium)
• Experience with version control tools (Git, etc.)
• Understanding of good unit and functional test writing, preferably using RSpec and Cucumber

Working hours:

8 AM to 5 PM CST i.e., 6:30 PM- 3:30 AM IST

Job Location:

It’s work from home currently. If the candidate is working permanently from home, he/she shall visit the WES Bangalore office once in 3 months for 5 working days. The employee shall bear the expenses of their travel and accommodation. He/she will be notified by the HR department of their assigned phase/return-to-office date.
